Following last year's success as the inaugural show at Sovereign Quarter Horses' new arena this year's Spring Show is being held at the same venue. Dates for the show are the 2nd - 4th May. Schedules will be available at the end of February.

Uncertainties arising from the unsuitability for Reining of the arena surface at Arena UK has delayed the publication of the Championship Show schedule. Dates for the show are confirmed as the 28th September - 1st October and schedules will be mailed out, and available from this web site, in the near future.
Meanwhile the 2006 AQHA-UK Championship Series Rules are available from AQHA-UK or the About section of this web site.

In response to enquiries the Spring Show will also offer, on Sunday, both 3 y.o. and non-affiliated In Hand Trail classes in addition to the 2 y.o. class.
31/03/2006 Spring Show Reining
QH2000 regrets that, due to severe doubts about the suitability for Reining of the new surface at Arena UK, neither NRHA nor BR classes are scheduled for the Spring Show. AQHA classes, which had been approved at a much earlier stage, are still scheduled and will provide an opportunity to assess the surface in practice.
The surface is .Gel Track. . a fantastic surface for Jumping with some softness and give but no movement whatsoever. No slip, no slide!
The provision of suitable surfaces for Reining is being pursued via the BEF but this is unlikely to produce an immediate solution. In the meantime, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions for alternative future venues QH2000 Show Management would be very grateful to receive details.

Regrettably, due to circumstances beyond our control, the CRI planned for the 1st October at the QH2000 Championship Show at Grantham has been cancelled. All other classes are running normally as scheduled.

Another new feature for 2004 is the introduction of a Championship series for a number of disciplines with qualification for a Finals class through points earned or placings in the appropriate classes at qualifying AQHA approved shows through the year.
